Standings and Recent News

Clinton to Host Iowa Illinios team challange  Last year there were 5 cities represented and 8 teams competing.  The illowa chess club of the Quad cities took top honors going undefeated.  This year the event will be hosted in Clinton Iowa, Saturday October 26th.    @ St Paul Luthern church  located at 715 3rd st  by the south (Hwy 30) bridge.

 

 


 

Teams will consist of 4 players on boards 1 through 4     /    There will also be an open section for one on one competion.      /       Team registration is $20.00 per team                                                                                                                                   Open registration is $10.00

                         1st place,  Marcus Wilson who scored 4.0  

                     winning gold.



                         2nd place, was a two way tie,  Joe Moore,                        â€‹      Ed Bertrand  both scoring  2.5 taking silver.



                         3rd place, was  a two way tie,  Roger   

                     Stanfield and​ Brent Brown  both scoring 2.0

                     taking home bronze.   

                         1st place,  Marcus Wilson who scored 3.0

                      sudden death G10 = 2     winning gold.



                         2nd place,   Joe Moore,   who scored 3.0

                    sudden death G10 = 1     taking silver.



                         3rd place, ,  Roger  Stanfield  scoring 3.0
